A woman who jumped on stage and attacked a 72-year-old singer at a Hayward music festival last month after he dedicated a song to slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin has been charged with two felonies, authorities said Wednesday.

Dinalynn Andrews-Potter, 43, of Barstow, was charged with felony assault and felony elder abuse, according to the Alameda County District Attorney’s office.

An Alameda County Superior Court judge on Wednesday issued a warrant for her arrest. She was arrested, cited and released after the July 13 incident.

Witnesses said the woman yelled “it’s all your fault” before shoving Lester Chambers to the ground. Chambers, who lives in Petaluma, was treated and released at a hospital for a welt on his backside, a bruised rib muscle, nerve damage and soreness, his son said after the attack.

Chambers was performing at the Hayward Russell City Blues Festival downtown around 5:15 p.m. when he dedicated Curtis Mayfield’s hit “People Get Ready” to Martin, the 17-year-old shot and killed by Zimmerman. At the time, a Florida jury was still deliberating in Zimmerman’s murder trial; they would acquit him about two hours later.
