Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden has been hospitalized, state officials announced Monday night.
The Delaware Department of Justice issued a brief statement saying Biden, the son of Vice President Joe Biden, first felt “weak and disoriented” Wednesday night after driving to Indiana for a family vacation.
While in Indiana, he was admitted to Northwestern University Hospital in Chicago.
“The next morning, feeling better, he traveled to Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia to consult with his doctor about his earlier symptoms,” Jason P. Miller, spokesman for the state Department of Justice, said in the statement.
Biden was discharged from Jefferson and spent the weekend at his home near Wilmington, Del.
Miller said Biden is now in Houston at an undisclosed facility “to investigate the cause of his symptoms.”
