On the Internet and cable news there’s been a steady talking point for the Trayvon Martin shooting as being exploited for racial purposes to fit an agenda they believe “the Left” has.

Cybill Shepherd To Play Paula Dean/George Zimmerman Hybrid In Upcoming Law & Order SVU Episode

“Law & Order: SVU” is tackling the Paula Deen racism controversy. The long-running NBC police drama is combining the Deen controversy with a Trayvon Martin-esque storyline.

Cybill Shepherd will play Jolene Castille, high-profile celebrity chef who shoots and kills an unarmed teen in a hoodie on the Upper West Side because she thought she was being pursued by a rapist. The character claims self-defense because she knew the detectives were after a rapist who fit the description, according to TV Guide.

Trayvon Martin’s Mother Releases Song With Hip-Hop Artist T. Dogg

Sybrina Fulton, the mother of Trayvon Martin, is tapping into music to spread her message against gun violence.

Fulton and gospel hip-hop artist T. Dogg collaborated to create the song, “Joy Comes in the Morning.” Fulton reached out to the musician after being inspired by another one of his songs. She said asked him to write a song about her experience, Local 6 sister station WPLG-TV in Miami reported.
